While looking to replenish my beer brewing ingredients for a chill summer brew, I came across the following upcoming event that should hold interest for home brewers and folks who just wanna have a good time outdoors at the beach meeting new people, trying new beers and home brew as well as just finding out more about home brewing as a hobby from those who have done it.Other activities include Homebrewing Contest, Brewing Talk, Beer Games, Beer Quiz, Best-Beer-On-Premise.
There may even be a wine making kit for those more keen to make the not-often-bubbly stuff.
Here’s some more info on the iBrew Challenge 2009.

Interesting! Didn’t know there was a home beer brewing community here in S’pore. Thought it was illegal to brew any form of alcohol privately here. I’m going to the iBrew challenge. Thanks for the tip. Sounds cool.
Hey Chong – its actually legal to homebrew in Singapore. And there is a healthy brewing community made up mainly of expats and some local enthusiasts! In fact I just started brewing my summer brew yesterday! It will be ready in 3 weeks! But more about that in my next post.
See you at the beer fest!
