I had never heard of this until I spent a few days in Copenhagen last month. I’m not a fan of Euro-style beer so I found myself drinking a lot of Somersby cider. Very refreshing after long afternoons of walking around being a tourist. The Apple was very good but the Pear and the Elderflower ciders were even better. It was also available in Iceland, but I sadly haven’t seen it since getting back to the US.

was searching for places in singapore that sells belgium beers, especially trappists and came across your website..wow you have a great friend! as far as i know there are two other places that sells good belgium beers, Two Fat Man and Little Part One Cafe http://www.littlepart1cafe.com.sg/beers.htm. Little Part One has a better selection while TwoFatMen serves very good thai food (must try grilled pork collar!) CHEERS!

Hey Jeremy, glad you like our humble blog! Yeah Oosters has a nice selection of Belgium beers and ales – sometimes we prefer the lagers than the sweeter ales though Jibiru is also cool – they should be participating at Beerfest Asia. You heading down? We certainly would – hopefully all four days! Be great to meet up there to trade notes!

Just found your blog, where has it been all my life? I’m a Westmalle fan and drink it at Oosters in Far East Square, and they have the Rochefort too.

Have you seen the new “Jibiru” Japanese bar at Somerset which does a lot of Hitachino beers amongst others?
